Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
Grovalen is preparing to launch a local marketplace for farms, makers, and wellness businesses. This policy explains what we collect when you join our waitlist, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Everyone: your first and last name, email address, city, and zip code (for sellers, where your business is based).
- Sellers: your business name and the category that best describes it.
- Buyers: if you choose, the kinds of things you're looking for.
- Optional: anything you write in the “Anything to add?” box, and whether you want launch updates.
- Your IP address. Like any website, our host receives it with each visit and keeps it briefly in server logs. We also use it to limit how many times the form can be submitted from one connection, in a short-lived counter that's normally cleared within an hour. It isn't stored with your sign-up.
How we use it
- To send a confirmation email when you join.
- To tell you when Grovalen launches in your area — and, for sellers, to reach out about onboarding. If you unchecked “Keep me posted,” we won't send you other launch updates.
- To decide which communities to launch in first.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information or share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the waitlist, and they process your information only on our behalf:
- Vercel — hosts this website.
- Neon — stores waitlist sign-ups in our database.
- Resend — delivers our emails.
- Upstash — runs the temporary IP-based submission limit.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up until Grovalen launches in your area and we've been in touch, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, or stop receiving updates, at any time. Just email us at hello@grovalen.com (send an email) or reply to any email we've sent you.
Children
The waitlist is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email you before it takes effect.
